Flight Tonight

At 1205 hour this morning, my luggage is 90% packed. After at least 2 times of repacking, I was able to reduce the overall weight by 1 kg...

Every kilo counts especially when it's USD$18 per kilo!

Current weight: 9.15 kg... more than what I anticipated :( In the end I strategically chose to pack the things which I won't miss much so if needs be, new will replace old and old things will pass away (ie thrown into foreign bins).

I'll miss everyone lots and lots... see you soooooon when I get back!

Day 21 Waiting on God

Truth be told, I am behind on the Waiting on God devotion by Andrew Murray. 21 days into the month of June I am zealously playing catch up. Last night and this morning, by God's grace, I was able to spend few blessed hours meditating His precious Words :)

Being behind isn't great but that's not going to discourage me from missing out on God's blessings! Ok... back to more time with God!

A msn conversation

- I can hear it from down here

ahahhah!

I forget sometimes that we live in the same house :P MSN alert tone is unpleasantly loud!

Poor Steven dropped his keyboard charger 2 days ago and it died... taking $200 with its passing.

Poor Steven isn't very happy :<

Singapore visit

After a long family dinner tonight, I started on some holiday planning.

Still a blank sheet of paper...

Vy's 22nd at Yu

Vy turned 22 last week - during exam times. So her birthday dinner was delayed till last night. This time we headed to Yu Chinese Restaurant in Burswood because of Peking Duck. Plus Vy's aunty and uncle were full of praises for the place when they went 3 weeks ago.

I have to say, the place looks amazing. Definately different to how I remembered it from last time. We sat down and began ordering dinner as both of us were starving!

Looking at the menu... their dishes appear ordinary yet expensive. Sang Chow Bao is $11.50 for one lettuce wrap and 4 little dim sums in a basket cost $13.50. Remembering my last Yu experience, I'm lowering my expectations to avoid disappointment.

While waiting for our dinner, Vy received her present. She thought it was a teddy bear inside... WRONG!

It was really Pandora.

A gold & silver queen bee + silver 'heo'. Her favourite nickname for everybody.

After pre dinner soup, sang chow bao arrives and it was sooooYUMMM! I wanted second and third and fourth and fifth and sixth!

Dim sum basket. This was alright because there were scallops & prawns in side.

The trolley comes because Peking duck is next.

Still hungry. Tempted to order another sang chow bao.

Warming up the sauce and pancake for Peking duck.

Not as good as my daddy's... but yummy nonetheless!

Deep fried toothfish, Shechuan steak and prawn fried rice. I liked all especially the toothfish!

Half way through dinner we sat outside for a mini break. We were both getting very full and struggling to finish the rest of the food.

Dessert: mango pudding.

You can tell I really like mango pudding!

After dinner coffee - this was terrible. Order Chinese tea in a Chinese restaurant and save coffees for proper cafes! I'll have to say, dinner was great! We will definitely be back next time :)

Internal decor

Thanks chef for such delicious dinner!

Wanting more Peking Duck...

Pot Plant

Blessed Birthday Vy!

It's an USB (1G).
Now I remember following UBank on Twitter few weeks ago,

A Dinner to Remember

After my last exam, Truc and Rowena picked me up at 6:30pm and I had no idea where we were going. From Kings Park to East Perth, it turned out that we were having a sausage sizzle by candle light.

Dinner was delightfully yummy, despite costing less than $5! It also gave us great incentive to cake out afterward :P

(The cafe we went to was Greens & Co in Mt Lawley).

Thanks sisters, I had a wonderful time... except for when you both laughed like crazy when I lost both ConnectFour and Trouble. If I didn't love you so much I might have tried to win (hehe).
