Stevosaurus

This is my little brother Stevo who is currently in Melbourne attending the BP National Youth Camp... AND he's coming back on Wednesday :))) -> [a double chin grin].

This little one was born 4 years after me and for the past 20 years has never failed to amuse. He went from a super skinny annoying little kid to someone who now carries all the heavy stuff and fixes things around the house - occasionally!!

My brother is a funny guy. He's funny not because he has many jokes to tell but the fact that one can joke around with him and he's unlikely to take things personally. In fact he is sure to have much crap to dish right back at you - the collection of Stevo constantly challenged by Harry who is another person with much to say about nothing.

This is Harry aka "Pink Cheek Boy" or "Myer Guy"

That is why I have resorted to tear tactics as I hardly win in a verbal contest with Stevo on the opponent side.

Stevo's is a member of the unofficial "Little Brother's Association" or LBA - dubbed by Rowas Cheng whose little brother Caleb Cheng currently holds presidential status. Other members include Terry Chong and Yorkie Wong (although not a little brother himself, but that'll do). I don't think they like being in the LBA because the last time we mentioned it they gave us their too-cool-for-school faces and ignored us.

Stevo's Favourite Quotes:
  • "Huh?"
  • "Man, that's deep stuff."
  • "Noob."
  • "That's randomness."
  • "Why? Tell me why first."
  • "Maybe."
  • "I cbb."
  • "Stuff it."
  • "Ok I am confused."
  • "lamo."
  • "Oi."
  • "..." - on MSN
  • "XD" - also on MSN
  • "What are you doing you noob!"
  • "Noob."
  • "Noooooob."
Yup, he likes calling people noobs. One time we were at Spotlight he picked up a Darth Vader mask and asked if I could buy that for him. With great confusion and disapproval I asked "Whaa? Why would you want that for? It's dumb."

Quite calmly in Darth Vader's voice and Stevo's serious face he earnestly made the following remark:

"I want to say to people (putting the mask on) 'Nooob... I am your faather.'"

Then I cracked up laughing in the middle of Spotlight falling short of rolling on the floor.

Stevo also likes to add "ness" behind almost every word. For example: noobness, dumbness, loch ness - lol I made the last one up.

Yesterday he rung me at 8am to ask if I'd like a pair of silky 3/4 pants from Fila as present from Melbourne... Er... we have Fila in Perth dude and silky pants? What therrr?!

"Well I don't know what you want? There's nothing here except for Morrissey, Mossimo, Mooks, Review, Cue, CK etcetc and btw Guess is having 50% off its shoes." Said Stevoness the thick-headedness.

"aaand you want to get me a pair of pants from Fila? Are you serious because I don't really want that."

"Yeah alright I'll have another look around."

My brother Stevo makes me laugh and cry at the same time.

Stevo in deep thoughts.

When I wanted to learn basketball he took me training everyday. When I wanted to exercise he walked around the park with me then came home saying "man, I got no work out today". When he says no he means yes and when he calls you a noob it means you are his friend. When he hears a great sermon he will make me sit in his chair and listen to it. When he's sleeping I like to jump on his bed, when I'm sleeping he likes to walk in and ask for a massage.

He's a sweet guy when he tries and will tell me off if I'm being judgemental or unfairly emotional.
What we got up to one fine afternoon.

My little brother Stevo makes me a better person, I believe he is God's gift to our family; he brings us much joy and maybe some headache but mostly joy, honestly :) I hold sooo much dirt on him and can't wait to dish at his 21st next year.

Anyone can be someone’s... "secret gift giver"

No, not santa, because santa isn't real...

The technical term for someone wearing a red suit giving out presents during December is a secret gift giver.

Buying fairy lights last week at Kmart I saw a big tree with lots of gift tags on it. Walking closer I realized that it was the Kmart Wishing Tree; this appeal supports many charities in WA in distributing gifts to people in need.
Thinking that this is a great way to share God's blessings, I grabbed 2 gift tags off the tree and proceeded to the check out.

Better yet, slip a TWYL or AYAGP tract in each gift! Now the task is to find 2 gifts and wrap them up :)

Toraya

The Le-Sun vehicle (aka silver Honda Civic soon-to-be red Mazda 3) stopped outside Toraya in Subiaco on Saturday evening.

Ok so it took a while to find parking because it's Subi and because it's a Saturday, but the waitress welcomed us speaking authentic Japanese so that's definately a good start.

First impression of Toraya was that it's small, cosy and nicely decorated. Upon flipping open the menu I was pleased to find Dragon Roll listed.

...and at only $15, double the happiness :)

Wagyu Steak! Yes Please!!

Dragon Roll - I was disappointed to find that unlike the one's I'm used to, only the first and last sushi had grilled eel...

At Toraya they give you crayons to freely draw on the table clothe (made of paper) while food is being cooked. This is a good idea as food took heaps long to come out.

Seafood Salad

All fresh ingredients:)

Tempura - eel, oyster, scallop, prawns, etc etc.

My steak :) :) :)

Alright, so here is the verdict:
  • I liked the steak, premium beef and the sauce was delicious.
  • Dragon roll - v. nice but like I said, only 2 pieces of the 8 had eel.
  • Seafood Salad - not sure about the mayo swirl, eating this made me miss Matsuri's seafood salad...
  • Tempura - not sure about the batter too, a little too crumbly for me.
  • As we were sitting outside, food became cold quickly, so seats inside the cafe is highly recommended.
  • Food was on the salty side - ask for less salt next time.
I must say though it was quite an enjoyable evening. It was strange that lights were switched off just before 10pm which put us off from wanting deserts.

Mid week Thoughts

In the immortal words of Homer J Simpson -

"Whoo Hoo!"

And you would be too if you last exam for the semester is today @ 2pm...

After which I will be heading off to Margaret River for a 3 day getaway.

Too much has been happening lately, last night got me a little down - knowing people are hurting and crying constantly make me really really upset.

The Word of God says:

"Charity suffereth long, and is kind;
charity envieth not;

charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own,
is not easily provoked,
thinketh no evil;
rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail;
whether there be tongues, they shall cease;
whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away."

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

If I have no charity, I am nothing. Jesus please teach me to love.

Alan and Carine's Wedding

On the 15 Nov 2008, Mr + Mrs Kwai vowed to love and honour each other for as long as they both shall live.

Today shall be a picture blog, I think from the photos it's evident just how beautiful and romantic the ceremony + reception are.

But what's more beautiful is the union of God's people!

God bless the Kwais and pour His richest blessings upon your household!

Congratulations guys :)
