i luv taxman - not :)

why? because i received today my tax return for the last financial year and altho it's not as big as i thought, but still a significant 4 digit sum :) so for now, i have nothing against ato - for now. now i have funds to get a new pair of sunnies :D who wants to buy the dior off me?

i am slowly remembering why i don't like summer. its not the weather, not the sun either but creepy crawlies that increase their population by the second. soon, crickets will be coming out noOOoOOooo... *crys*

Monday non-blue

OooOoooOOoo! i'm soo excited on several notes:

1) our flights are confirmed and booked :) can't believe rowas n i took just one nite to book our tix, talk about spontaneity! now i'm excited to be spending time immersed in God's word & sweet fellowships :D just hope adelaide is ready for us! GOooOooOOoo!

2) saturday @ work was memorable. why? i won't say :P too bad if ur curiosity is eating u away!

3) sunday was awesome too, my cousin came over. first we had work then i beat him pretty bad in wii carnival games (i rock), lastly we all went to baddie-O. from him tone of voice i thought he was a pro and that was precisely what i told vicks. too bad he wasn't *lol* i didn't forget to rub it in tho, mike of course blamed it on his "slippery shoes" and "old age" ahahhahah! typical Chi behaviour! However i thank God that victor n jason had the chance to share the gospel with him, tho he didn't sound too receptive so i went to find a quiet place (ie toilet) and prayed. i pray throughout the remaider of his stay he'll understand more!

20 October 2007

Its not about me, its all about God

that's the theme for y180 this year and the title of aj's testimony (of which i've just read @ 8:20am!). it's about seeking God first and He will take care of the rest. We study not to aim for a wealthy future perspective (as told by parents) but in everything we do, to give honor and glory to God's name. He reminded me that i ought to place my trust in Him and thank you Lord that just as i was (procrastinating), You pointed me in the right and only direction. Re-reading Luke 12:24-34 was very convicting,

"If then God so clothe the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. for all these things do the nations of the world see after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you . Fear not for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Luke 12:28-32

faith is total dependence on God and a willingness to do His will. It is complete humble obedience to God's will, readiness to do whatever He calls us to do. The amount of faith isn't as important as the right kind of faith - faith in our all-powerful God (taken from Life Applications Bible comment Luke 17:5,6).

last night's interview with Leonard Ravenhill on revival was a great lesson too. unfortunately some parts i tuned out cos the accent was a little hard to comprehend (hope i didn't miss out the important parts), he said we don't understand God's word enough. a simple example was able to make me to think twice "hey what else am i stuffing up on! how much am i grieving God?" ants crawled down my spine.

to think i almost skipped regen last night, to think i almost missed out on the lesson God wanted me to learn (by my own admission with no one to blame on judgement day). i pray that its not mental decision, but true life changing. and the only strength to keep me on this narrow path comes from God. Lord please lead the way.

"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Luke 12:34

just a little note, we finally confirmed our flights last night. thank God for guiding us through the decision making process as rowas n i were tossing between sure and unsure. like you'd stand on the boarder line between two countries one minute russian another chinese. i can only serve one master and when i am not serving Him, i am betraying Him.

its a working life for me

this entry i've decided to dedicate it to posting pics which are very recent but just haven't had the time to attach a long story to. so sit back, relax, and let me waste your bandwidth (or watever it is called for u IT experts out there).

stvo's "pets" of which we had a great laugh over (and bargained for)! name, unofficially wilber and wilberine (courtesy of the pig) but subject to change without prior warning. this pic was taken i think 2 sundays ago sitting in the car before baddy.

gross tasteless mango smoothie with saigo & pudding. decided to take a pic of it to remind myself just how crap it is.

good old priceline... if only i didn't lose my card :_<

stream of programmes and an ASX calender. could do without the dust tho, yes i know :P

don't ever accept an offer by me to pour tea for you. this is what happens. apart from wanting to test vy of her hand and eye coordination, i was bored waiting for the lunch that took forever.

Horray for Wednesdays

what am I doing writing my blog at 10:44am on a Wednesday morning? no, not because i have nothing better to do, in fact, i have a MAGNITUDE of things "to-do" and have already been doing so. hence, i thought i should give myself a bit of a break to reflect on the past few days before getting back to reality - again!

i had my hands full the past few days: if i wasn't studying, i was working; if i wasn't on a bus, i was driving; if i wasn't reading, i was sleeping... and that's just a small portion of activities i engaged in (or remember). friday, saturday & sunday were productive days. i had my head tugged right into law n derivative books and read and read and read some more. surprisingly, they were quite interesting so time just flew as each page was turned. i was glad of the distraction sunday night baddy provided. it felt relaxing catching up with brothers and sisters and have some good games on the court. our weekly "stretching class" (instructor: rowas, PR: gracie) grew from 4 to 5 (yay) finished with the highlight of pointing right ahead at the crowd saying "you'll be sore tomorrow!". we had a great laugh and to top the experience off, i received a massage from rowas and haven't paid back yet :) unfortunately, stevo n i had to leave early as we both had unfinished "commitments" *lol* dinner was mee goreng as none of us felt like late night maccas again.

on monday i got home at around 4:40pm, rushed around like mad to get ready for the exhibition at PCEC which meant to start at 5:30pm. at the very last minute, i decided stveo should attend too so TWO people rushed around like mad to get ready for the exhibition at PCEC which meant to start at 5:30pm. thanks to harry who commented that you had to be there before it starts for registration. with much prayers (and stress) in the air, we managed to hit the city in ~10min. BUT, me the directionless idiot, turned right at the wrong intersection and went back up freeway south... time: 5:42pm. thank God that my previous trips to northbridge proved to be of usefulness. i recognised some streets from hay and was able to get back to PCEC pretty effortless. the rest of the night went by smoothly, i got valuable informations, loads of freebies, and fresh sushi (yum yum). we met up with vicks toward the end of the night and talked to another girl who was quite informative and friendly :) of course, i did not forget to mention to harry that you DID NOT have to be there before 5:30pm in order to get in. yupp, it was a great event overall, except that i lost the parking ticket while walking back (and talking on the phone) to the car so stevo had to backtrack our paths to recover it from off the floor (oops) :P our parking was $9.00 and the machine kept spitting out my ticket and money bill!

tuesday was harbour town day :) a very ill vy with running rose went shopping me :) we walked around laughing and joking, looking at all sorts of things until we were pretty tired. we decided that there is nothing that a large gelare waffle with mocha chip ice cream couldn't fix, indeed, we were absolutely correct! i got what we came for (plus more! she gave me her notes for next week)

*yummmm*

photo time^^

wednesday (today) i met up with stvo at garbo for some retail therapy. we bought heaps from myer, dotti, live, priceline n coles... when we ran out of money (and time) we decided to head home to face mum. She simply said that we suck her blood dry *lol* which i thought was a pretty funny comment! i love my mummy dearest.

Long Time Shopping

mummy and daddy came to pick me up today for a dim sum feast at joy garden. when the trolley came (FINALLY!) we ordered sooo much cos mummy said i could order whatever i wanted. we had long jin tea which was a bit too bitter for my liking :S... but had an awsome time chatting, laughing and dining :) after lunch we went into city for a stroll and mummy bought me lots skincare products. we also went to look for a full set of suit for me but didn't have enough time as we had to rush off to the banks.

at night stvo, mummy n i went to garbo to buy clothes for stvo, he chose some stuff he liked at live. i was bored so ran off to dotti n bought a dress :D *yawn* after a full day i'm ready for bed!!

2. mango smoothie bbt with pudding + saigo
3. apricot yogurt with nuts

Mid-Week

I've decided to keep account of what I eat each day (at least for a little while). this was something that I've wanted to but never managed to pen anything down so putting it up on the blog, is perfect. so far today, I've had 1/2 packet of Thins chippies (very bad start i know) and 1/2 a bottle of water. as for the rest of the day... we'll see.

after staying up all night on monday, i finally finished 2 CLs and submitted both in! yay! a pat on the back for such determination (after 1wk of putting it off and a whole tuesday of sleepiness)! as for today i'll need to purchase the breakfast ticket... must not forget... must not forget...!!!

THINGS TO DO THIS WEEK:
1. Purchase breakfast ticket
2. Murdoch O'day tomorrow
3. Hair trim
4. Friday night dinner with the girls

MY FOOD:
- 1/2 packet of chips
- 1 orange
- 1 packet of lollies
- korean bbq and lettuce
- water

I learnt today: if you only had 1 tool in your toolbox that is the hammer, then all problem to you seem like a nail.

Tea for Life

thank you Lord for the rain that you sent, to water the earth!

it rained so heavily just as i was about to leave for shirlyn's house, today was the adelphe's gathering and the girls had to wear something purple (or black as worn by most!). we had a yummy "tea party" with a wide selection of tea leaves n nibbles, as soon as hot water was poured into each cup, an explosion of fragrances just errupted. it was very heart warming drinking hot tea and talk about God's words while it poured outside. the experience is a double thumb up.

tea leaves, fruits, cakes & chippies

my apple-tree tea tonic

fruit tarts, thanks wendy for holding it for me^^

and of course, the "quilt", where my sewing skill fails me once again :x so i won't say much, you can see it for yourselves...

its now got 4 neoprints and 3 white "bubbles" and a framed pass it on card!

28 July 2007

Saturday is not a weekend for me!

1) work
2) add petrol
3) buy sports shoes
4) find 2 things that represent me for tomorrow

that was the to-do list this morning when i work up. i had every great intention to accomplish it but only managed 1) and half of 4).

at first work was quiet, it did feel kinda strange being a saturday to be sitting on my bottom rather than running around and avoiding little kids! so i committed it to God praying that He would bless us with customers... almost INSTANTLY, groups of people came rushing in, so fast that i didn't even have time to respond to the sudden change in atmosphere! they filled tables after tables until there were none and had to wait around standing! i really thank God that everything today went by smoothly, although there were some delays but we had lovely patient customers :) i also thank God for karen n yeebuor's safe return from china. they truly have been a blessing, they are such willing and trustworthy workers that came in time of need and have been with us for the past years. i think i might be a little sad if they had to leave at the end of their studies!

stevo rang me in the afternoon asking me to purchase some european pillowcases, i only had 1 hour till 5pm but managed to searched through kmart, myers (made a little stop over at temp, novo, amart and footlockers). in the last 10 minutes i thought i'd give target a go, there were plenty of styles to choose from (on sale too!). i chose a beige with embroidered flowers (for me) and a white with green lines (for stvo), but just as i was about to leave i found a 2 pack european pillowcases on sale for a mere $2.86 from $29.95?! how can i walk away from that! i was in disbelief and gave myself a pat on the back for such a good find. the problem is, its white with polka dots. uh-oh... stevo's not going to like that, i thought. but i blame him for his absence, i figured if he was going to comment, i would shift the attention to the fact that if he prefers something else, then perhaps he should have been there to make his selections! with that escape route in mind, i paid and left pretty happily.

when stvo saw the pillow cases, he simply said "i hate you", then he laughed and after dressing the pillow in its new case, he was very content. i didn't need my backup plan, he thought it was a bargain too! now he's lying on it watching anime, hee hee, i say a job well done :D

26 July 2007

it's been a long time...

wow...

it certainly has been a while since my last blog,

during that time i've had my exams, by God's grace achieved good results :); blessed with work (although i was pretty much paid doing nothing); had the first uwa lunch fellowship; and now i'm preparing my entrance into law.

really want to thank God that He has been answering my prayers, by His grace, opened doors which i with my little strength would never have been able to. i just pray that He will continue to be involved in my life, and my faith to stay till the end.

amen.

Memorable Day

What a day it has been...

I waited... until I had to leave for a group meeting @ 10pm, as I was driving home, it rained. Saw the active log for 7:50pm, must say that I was disappointed, although I did expect it.

The trio had lunch together, little Miss Lollipop (hehe) was LATE for 1 hour. Both Vy and myself were sssttarving! So when lunch came, gobble gobble!!

Here are the pics we took, can u spot the lollipops?? *hehe*
