Some B-ball Action!

See that towering above? It's been what I've been conquering of late.

Or trying to conquer of late...

It all started few days ago when a few of us girls met up for a friendly game. As it turned out, we huffed and puffed our way through 2 hours of physical strain. We were neither fit nor skilled so it's only natural that I now have a change of heart to play at least half decent.

So the intense training led by my brother began. For the last few days we've been practicing, rain or shine.

Tomorrow will be another women's bball game, we shall see how much I've learnt :)

To Be Continued...

Logging on today I have a dilemma, what is there to blog about?

It's been a while since my last post and there has been times when I have logged on, yet signed out not knowing how to convert thoughts into words.

In fact, I'm not even certain what thoughts are in my head right at this moment, 6:50am on a beautiful Sunday morning.

the American way

No, I was not there when this pic was taken, wish I was though!

This HAS to be one of the best bbq apparatus I've ever seen,

A noble little garden rack, who'd have known!

The man who invented the garden rack is either

  1. upset, seeing his little baby being used as something which it was not created for, or
  2. happy, and start demanding royalty immediately.
or both. Happy one minute, sad the next.

Inevitably I wonder, that rack he's using, is it brand new??

Please tell me it is so!

Love As He Loved

Two weeks ago studying Ecclesiastes I came across chapter 7, it quickly became another favourite and in particular, verses 16-18:

"Be not over much wicked, neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself? Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time? It is good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all."

This is what the Life Application Bible's commentary says about 7:16 -

"How can someone be too good or too wise? This is a warning against religious conceit or false righteousness. Solomon was saying that some people are excessively wise or righteous in their own eyes. They become deluded by their own religious acts. They are so rigid or narrow in their views that they lose their sensitivity to the true reason for being good - to honor God. Solomon may be taking to task the wisdom teachers of the day, who often mechanically and coldly applied their teachings to others (Job's three friends did this in the book of Job). Balance is important. God created us to be whole people, not extremists whose specific viewpoints become more important than the people we should love."
