Introvert for a day

What an eventful day! Today one small thing didn't connect led to a draggy time of confusion. Hence the hiding behind a little turtle from imaginary big bad wolf. Soon I shall head to sleepyland suspiciously, but sincerely, early.

ps. Turtle's cheeks are so pink, how cute!

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." - Romans 8:18
Is Today's memory verse. Nothing to do with the above comment in case many of you speculate! If anything this verse shames me for the comfortable life I live in comparison to what faithful men before me have gone through.

Best chips are in town!

Brought to you by Grill'd :)

WE (Rowas and myself) came to fall in love with this restaurant when Hui En first took us there in Melbourne. There she treated us to some ordinary looking but extraordinary tasting hot chippies sprinkled with Grill'd's herb mix. For someone who doesn't normally like herbs in her food, one dip in their yummy herb mayo I am now a fan.

Last night 7 of us went to the newly opened Grill'd in Mt Lawley for dinner.

This was what I had:

'Simon says' + chips ..... $16.50
(Grilled chicken breast, avocado, crispy trim bacon, salad, relish & herbed mayo)

Despite downing the entire burger, I was really pleased with not feeling fat or greasy at the end of the meal. Especially after gaining weight from eating in Taiwan & Hong Kong... My body thanks me for having food that doesn't clog arteries as soon as I start chewing!

So would I come here again? For sure!!

Hooray for healthy burgers and herbed steak fries!
Hooray for Grill'd opening south of the river -- I hope :)

Grown up... Who me?

photo found here

My seriously mature brother is downstairs staging a (soft)toy nunchuck showdown
with his equally mature friend Harry.

Nuff said!

Though it is actually quite funny hearing them giggle like overgrown babies hehe

That's tomorrow!

Have a blessed weekend ♥

Midnight Murmur

 Time flies!
A lingering thought of late.

Feeling quite the sleepyhead. Will chat more in the next entry!

Sweet dreams everyone :)

The Blind Side

Watched this movie on the return flight to Perth. No wonder it was awarded Oscar's Best Motion Picture of the Year! A genuinely touching and heartwarming story without the use of dramatic special effects to enhance its credibility. Makes me wonder how many Mrs Tuohy are left out there in this harsh social world?

Thank God for Christian fellowship. A month immersed in Asian culture scares me as to how judgmental and social divisional we humans can be!

Went exercising, dinner and bbt with a good friend tonight. Traded exercises for much catch up and laughter!

Something to do, something to research and something to look forward to!

Oh, happy as can be :)

first rant coming back home

Second day in Perth,
the air... too fresh.
The sky... too clear.
The people... not enough.
The place... too quite.

What's with this confusion?
What's with the criticisms.

Both places are 'home' aren't they?

But why does it hurt to be in one place not the other?
And when you are in the other you miss the one?

In the one place lives my blood family.
Filled with people I've known ever since coming into this world.
On their faces I find resemblances to my very own.

In the other place lives my heavenly family.
Filled with people I've come to love with my whole heart.
With them are my teenage and young adulthood memories.
