Adelaide & Melbourne Photo Story

For 10 days, I was out of Perth in the eastern lands of Adelaide and Melbourne. In just 10 days I've done so much, ate so much, seen so much and missed Perth ever so much. Today's entry will tell stories behind some of the photos I've taken... For more photos please see Adelaide + Melbourne Trip.

Truc, Rowena & I at Perth airport waiting to check in. We booked the red-eye flight so pillows are definitely necessities.

Rowena got a hold of Truc's license. On it is a young Truc with no fringe. Her cheeky smile says it all :)
Outside Marion's unit. We've only just arrived in Adelaide about to grab some breakfast and visit Central Market. Rowena's tying her gladiator thongs.

This was at the Convent in Melb.

Julia practicing her swings... it feels almost therapeutic hitting that little white ball as far as I can with as much strength as I can exert. The owner gave us lots of handy hints, he also said I have potentials! Needless to say I was back again few days later.

Pro golfers in the making.

On the bus after breakfast to Adelaide central. Public transport fares in Adelaide double during peak hours! How strangely odd?!

Shopping on Acland St in Melbourne. Only few more hours to go before our flight back to Perth.

Breakfast at Hot Poppy in Melbourne. Food is cheaper in Melbourne indeed, the myth has come true!

Barry & Juanita's wedding. The girls all got dressed up.

Imported from Perth :)

Mr & Mrs Palm

Fred snuck into our room to take photos from above.

The interstaters.

Why have we our arms folded? Because it was ABSOLUTELY freezing COLD! Unbelievable! We went Dumpling King after the wedding for lunch, there were no seats inside the restaurant so we sat outside enduring harsh coldness.

The grey/black girls vs pink lady. Met Melissa on our way back from the restroom. We quickly asked for a photo before someone else books her.

Caleb and Jonathon dropped by to say hi. Rowena's bouncy curls are a work of art :)

The big breakfast - shared btwn Truc and myself.

Breakfast crew. Thank God that we were able to get together and have lovely fellowship over food. I told the girls stories of my Steven bullying days and they were in stitches laughing.

Here is us at Haighs buying yummy chocolate. I tried the 'hot cross bun' chocolate and it really tasted a lot like a hot cross bun! Woww!

Shame on yooouu for charging us $4.50!! Delicious $2.80 bbt including saigo/jelly.

This was taken on the night of Truc, Caleb and Adrian's flight back to Perth. The Hopefuls took us to a Vietnamnese restaurant for dinner. On the menu each dishes are 'S' 'M' or 'L' in size. I ordered small because the counter girl said a medium would be way too much for me. When the food came we realised that everyone had gotten a small except Rowena who bravely upsized to a medium. We all had a good laugh especially when she thought the whole plate of beansprouts was for her. No, it was for the entire table.

All you can eat pancake for $7... sorry we missed you...

Had a German breakfast instead of the all you can eat pancake deal. The pancake was amazing! Rowas and I finished our plate while Michelle enlisted Sam's help. Perth girls are real girls :)

First sight in Melb. For the first time Tiger felt really 'budget'. We weren't sure if Jon knew the time of our arrival but thankfully he only lived 10 minutes away from the airport. We waited for over 30 minutes.

Good morning Melbourne. The first pic I took as soon as I opened my sleepy eyes.

Here is Rowas sitting outside CGF. We were waiting for Wui Chiuen to pick us up for breakfast.

Breakfast. worth the wait^^

I was constantly playing with little hippo in Wui Chiuen's car. It is super cute!

Ahh my favourite unhealthy drink. 7-11's slurpee. That's a very content smile on my face.

Looks to be very authentic but for takeaway only :_(

Jap dinner with Min Yen and Jon.

At the Convent where great architecture history can be found.

Coffee after dinner which was $14 Laksa - recommended by Richard the Micro Surgeon who doesn't go out much. However the Laksa didn't disappoint neither was my latte overly milky. Top that with sweet fellowship it became a night to remember.

Most delicious sticky date pudding - we also met up with Rosalie and had a great time catching up :)

Melb Tram driver took this photo for us while he was on a 5 minute break outside Federation Square. He's a very good photographer, must have done it at least a million times!

Choco Churo. A quick take away before boarding the train to meet Jon for some sightseeing.

Following Jon's direction (though through no direct fault of his)... we ended up taking the wrong train to the wrong place. Thankfully Jon was really close by so he came and picked us up. I'm holding the takeaway churros from Choco Churro.

Claypot rice in Box Hill - thanks Jon for taking us there :) mmm... ricce....

Kanteen - where we had brekky on our last day in Melb. The place is interesting but there were lots of bees... and I am afraid of bees like there is no tomorrow. So when a bee decided to share my lunch, I fleed for my life! Sorry girls I made you side inside where there is no view (AND BEE!).
On the plane flying home... Tiger wasn't so bad after all

This is a dumb photo, doesn't look like I am having fun but I did :) This was such a fun ride, I can't wait to go to more theme parks. Worth the $8!

Inside Lunar Park

This brought back a lot of childhood memories... When we were young our parents loved taking us on Merry-go-a-rounds.

Outside Lunar Park (Melb)
